The EchoDepth Measurement Framework
FACS standard. 44 Action Units. 14 cultural cohorts across 6 countries.
Frame-by-Frame Emotion Timeline
EchoDepth analyses every frame of a video recording — generating a delivery timeline that maps communication quality, credibility signals and engagement patterns across the full content. Outputs include a scored timeline and a radar chart of signal distribution.

Emotion Mapped to Every Word
EchoDepth's transcript layer colour-codes every word by the emotional state detected at that moment. This reveals which specific content triggered which emotional response — making it possible to re-engineer communications at the word level.
The transcript layer is available on video analysis sessions and provides the evidential foundation for coaching, editing and communications optimisation.
Built on Validated Science
FACS Standard
The Facial Action Coding System is the gold standard for delivery signal measurement. EchoDepth implements 44 Action Units — significantly more granular than broad sentiment classification.
Communication Depth Model
Multi-dimensional delivery quality mapping. EchoDepth outputs go beyond positive/negative sentiment to provide the full communication signal picture.
Cultural Calibration
Communication signals are culturally modulated. EchoDepth is calibrated across 14 cohorts in 6 countries — preventing the cultural bias that invalidates many AI analysis tools.

How accurate is EchoDepth?
EchoDepth uses the FACS standard — 44 Action Units calibrated across 14 cultural cohorts in 6 countries. It measures observable delivery signals in content, not self-reported sentiment or keyword matching. The methodology has been validated in peer-reviewed literature across multiple cultural and professional contexts.
Has EchoDepth been independently validated?
EchoDepth is built on the FACS standard, originally developed by Paul Ekman and Wallace Friesen at UCSF. The underlying Action Unit framework has been validated in hundreds of peer-reviewed studies. EchoDepth's implementation has been tested in the FCA Regulatory Sandbox and has won 13 industry awards across independent evaluation programmes.
What is the FACS standard?
The Facial Action Coding System (FACS) is a comprehensive taxonomy of human facial movements. It defines 44 Action Units — discrete movements of specific facial muscle groups — validated as delivery indicators across cultures. FACS is the most widely validated framework for objective communication signal analysis in the peer-reviewed literature.
